Primary Schools — Lilongwe, Malawi
In Malawi, government primary schools function as critical community infrastructure that extends far beyond their educational mandate. The physical accessibility of a school building is therefore not solely a matter of educational inclusion — it is a matter of civic inclusion, public safety, and democratic participation.
Four schools in Lilongwe were visited to see how they fare against universal accessibility standards.
